Party in the Park went off very well and God brought 10 kids out for games, food, fellowship and the Word of God. Our best event so far! The weekly Bible study with the group will start up again next week.
Another highlight for Rochelle was reconnecting with 6 ladies from her English Bible study in Japan! One of the ladies initiated a Zoom call for us in November. It was so great to be together again that we then planned a Christmas Party on Zoom for December. Each lady shared something special: a talent or family event. I shared the Good News of Jesus and used the illustration of the transformation of a caterpillar into a butterfly to explain the New Life Christ gives to us! This seemed to give the ladies a clearer understanding of the importance of Christmas.
Three of the ladies are believers in Jesus now, but the others have yet to believe. Please pray for Mrs. Sasaki, Mrs. Koba, and Mrs. Ishiguro to come to Jesus. We are hoping to meet on Zoom monthly to discuss a topic together. On Jan. 30th, we will share about our New Year’s hopes and dreams, which will focus on faith in Christ for me!
Steve was asked to help our US LDHR team improve and update our central list of open roles within all of Cru’s ministries. This is very important now as some US staff who have been serving overseas will return home due to a restructure in our leadership offices worldwide. These transitions will begin in March, and we want to encourage our returning staff with good information about their new ministry opportunities stateside.
