Involvement of Japan CCC staff and students at CRASH reported by Jessika here (Mar 22).

Excellent reporting of relief efforts in first two weeks of the crisis from World News.

Wonderful video of one of our friends in Japan who went from Tokyo to north of Sendai and his thoughts on “God in the Rubble.”

One Japan CCC staff member, Roy T. accompanied a group from their church, led by Pastor Chizuo Sakurai, from Tokyo. They brought supplies to areas where people have been living in abandoned buildings or have moved back into their homes. These people have not had access to the relief supplies being delivered to the shelters.
As they gave out food, water, diapers, and clothing, they also handed out Bibles, and Christian “manga” (comic books) which were well-received. One pastor told them that he has never seen the Japanese people so open. They were also able to pray with a number of people.

Relief!
