“All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us.” 2 Cor. 5:18-20a.

It is always a blessing to see the group of people joining with Cru as new full time staff members. This group pictured finished our summer training.

We know that they have taken steps of faith, sacrificed, and responded to the call of God to begin this missionary service.

They will be going into many different ministries with Cru. Some will help reach families with life-changing impact. Some will become part of a classic campus team reaching students with the Gospel. Some will leave the U.S. to build relationships with students in places we can’t share about, places where it has been historically difficult to share Christ and they will trust our living Lord for His work there! Some will serve our US military families and others are called to work with Unto to meet humanitarian needs around the world. It is amazing to see the joy and excitement in these new servants of the Lord as they begin full time ministry!

It is a privilege for Rochelle and me to be part of helping them get going in their calling. Thanks for being a wonderful part of sending them to the world with us!

For ten weeks this summer I (Rochelle) have had the opportunity to lead 2 groups of students through a study of theology, based on the core doctrines from Cru’s Statement of Faith. These students have all been involved with Cru on their campuses and opted to study theology this summer while handling internships, vacations, and summer activities. It has been challenging and a step of faith for me to prepare the lessons and encourage the students who attend the online meetings. We covered topics ranging from the beginning to the end of the age including: the Word of God; The Triune God and Creation; Mankind and the Fall; Jesus; Redemption; Sanctification; the End Times, and the Great Commission. Very thorough!

Here is what a couple of students had to say about this class….

“Being in this course has helped me get back on track with my relationship with the Lord.” “This class has helped me get more into the Word and I want to continue to grow deeper in my relationship with the Lord.” “I want to make my decisions based on the principles of God’s Word that we studied together even as I return to college this fall.”

We also want to share a great milestone: Josh has graduated from college! Hurray! He actually passed with a perfect 4.0 and received Top Honors recognition among his Computer Science classmates, Suma Cum Laude. We are very proud of him!

Thank you as always for all your support and prayers and care for our family. This ministry is possible because you are making it happen! We are so grateful to God for you. Keep praying for students, for more new staff, and for movements of God!
