Here’s a quick round the family update:
Steve: I’m doing lots of work with the Sending Team, dealing with issues of how we ensure development for the people as we send them.  Our team has been covering for each other as we take turns visiting our supporters.  It’s a challenging environment for developing new support.  I’m playing basketball and hitting the gym for fitness.
Rochelle: She’s running our car up and down Alafaya and Avalon Park.  2 roundtrips each for Josh to elementary school and Melissa’s one choir class each day, plus the shopping and doctors – so much time in the car!  She’s trying to do a little tennis with friends when she can.  Women’s bible study and Starting Point adult Sunday class and pre-school sunday school class are outlets for ministry.
Andy: Finishing up fall quarter at Cal Poly Pomona in his Physics degree.  Still a year to go after this one.  He’s enjoying Japanese Fellowship, which he is leading this year, and activities with his Japanese church.
Ben: Finishing up fall semester at Valencia Community College.  Next year he’ll be in University of Central Florida on a sports training degree.  Enjoys the gym, and still working for Panera Bread.  The orthodontia to prepare for jaw surgery is almost complete, so we will be able to schedule the surgery this spring sometime.
Melissa: Florida Virtual School, doing the online junior year of high school, and that’s working okay for her so far.  She’s getting work on her back for scoliosis (back curvature) and neck pain.  She enjoys friends and bible study and sushi parties!
Joshua: Our sports loving little guy is into soccer, basketball and baseball, plus riding his bike around.  He’d do minigolf and bowling more if they didn’t cost so.  When he does computer games he likes the sports ones most.  We love his sincere questions about God and the stories of the Bible.

We’ll have Andy out with us for 3 weeks over Christmas – so excited about that and all the kids looking forward to it.  Rochelle’s mom will also come down for a week and a half before she heads to Rochelle’s sisters place for the rest of the holidays.  So we are staying local this time.  Decorate the palm tree for Christmas!  Shorts and flip flops it’s 85 degrees today while the blizzard storms the rest of the country.
