Clarks are back!

Thanks to all for praying for us and our teens through this summer!

We arrived home safe and sound in Orlando. After a smooth ride into Atlanta, a game of “who changed my airplane, complete with grab my carry-on off a closed plane and go to the new gate”, and another game of “fly around my house while we wait for rainstorms to move south of the runway”, we finally made it home about 1:15 AM.

August 14th was Ben’s birthday (19) and he took and passed his driver’s license road test for his first official license. Melissa got her braces off – what a smile! A great day.

Our teens made it safely to Los Angeles on August 3rd and we had a great 10 days with family and friends at church. They were really exhausted and slept a lot, even for teenagers. We are starting to hear some cool stories of their experiences, and I think it safe to say that God worked out many opportunities to share testimonies, bless kids in VBSs, share the gospel in drama, and many more. At least 65 people came to Christ through the project, but I think they are still adding up what happened in all the places that our teens teams were sent. It was a good growing time for them. Thanks for praying, we will share more as we hear about it.

For our financial support, an additional $250 monthly was pledged that we have heard of so far, and $2000 one time. That is about 10% of what we need in new commitments as of the start of the summer. The time in California was pretty fruitful also for meeting new folks who are joining us in prayer that the Lord use us through our work in Orlando to send out more laborers into the harvest fields, and continue to touch the lives of Japanese and East Asians through the Jesus Film and other avenues.

Please pray for the adjustments of Ben and Josh to new schools, and Melissa in her 10th grade classes at that huge public high school, Timbercreek. Pray for Ben and Melissa as they try to reflect on their Mexico experience and work out how they will apply what they learned and plan to implement in their lives from now.

Pray for God’s blessings as we try to begin meeting neighbors at our new rental home.

Pray for Steve as he works with the 3 new 1 year staff joining his Sending Team. These 3 are on the Recruiting Team, so their focus will be on helping bring the right connections of new people to new international and headquarters assignments. Pray for good adjustments to the Sending Team and fruitful work as Steve guides them.
