The doctor said it was technically challenging (I&#8217;ll say! Working around in a mouth with all those arteries and nerves and everything to be careful of!) and placing and removing a little more bone and replacing to get it right took time!  Of course Ben was out for all of it and just woke up with a mouth full of pain.<br \/>\nSince then it has been over a week now of good steady recovery, getting out of the hospital (one night stay), teeth sheethed in plastic to hold them, along wtih rubber bands (not wired shut, so that&#8217;s good).  He is still on regular pain medications and antibiotics and has to keep his lips moistened since he can&#8217;t yet close his mouth with all that stuff inside.
