Finishing something is not always easy. I shudder to think of how many projects I have begun and not actually finished, leaving them undone until they were no longer relevant or any use to anyone.
\nScripture too reminds us of the foolishness of not completing the tasks we start. For example, in Luke we find Jesus saying, \u201cFor if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, \u2018This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.\u2019\u201d Luke 14:29,30.
\nOn the other hand, Jesus said, \u201cMy food is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.\u201d Luke 4:34. Also Paul said, \u201cmy only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me\u2014the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.\u201d
\nI have shared with many of you about two projects that I have been a part of, and I want you to share with me in the joy of getting them finished!<\/p>\n

US LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCES<\/h2>\n

The new larger Sending and Recruiting Team<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

One project is the reorganization of the Human Resources Department and Sending Team where I have been serving. My team used to send US staff internationally and to the headquarters. Now the reorganized team is responsible for preparing every single American who applies with Cru (the US branch of Campus Crusade for Christ) wherever they serve internationally or in the US with ministries such as Campus, Family Life, Jesus Film, City, Military and more.
\nThis is a big expansion of our scope of service and involves working with a lot more parts of Cru. I\u2019m excited to continue to help lead the Sending and Recruiting Team as we work with over 1400 applicants who want to go overseas on STINT just this next year.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve also been working on the new single online application that can be used by everyone who applies to join Cru whether STINT, intern or part-time or full-time staff. We\u2019ve finished it! It\u2019s now live and serving new staff! Our team helped make it easier than ever for people to get connected with Cru. We are celebrating and praising God!
