Team in a central Asian country She watched the Magdalena film with “Sue,” one of our US STINT interns She came to the team’s evangelistic event last November and heard one of the national intern’s testimony. She has engaged in many spiritual discussions and is considering reading through the Bible this year. She read through the book “More Than a Carpenter” by Josh McDowell, and spent many hours discussing it with “Sue.”
“I am afraid of how much my life will change,” she said when asked what is holding her back from trusting Christ. Like many people from her country, she wonders how one can be part of a culture that assumes everyone is of the majority religion, and yet choose to be a Christian. Albi is still on the edge of trusting Jesus. Pray that she finds freedom in Jesus soon!
“Sue” used to be part of our Sending Team here in Orlando at Cru HQ. For the last 18 months she has ministered among young women in the major city where she lives, trusting the Lord to see a spiritual movement built there.. She and the small team there are reaching out to local students and people in their community with love, English, and their own stories of vulnerability and God’s grace. Hundreds of students have heard the testimonies of the interns on the team.
“Gull,” one of the national interns shares: Many still ask the question, “How can I be in this country and follow Jesus?” From childhood, I considered myself a Muslim because that is what my parents told me. I did not have a relationship with God. When I entered university, I started to attend English club and met Americans and believers. For the first time I heard about Jesus Christ and started to learn about God. It was difficult for me to understand the need for Jesus to save me, because of my culture. Yet, I realized that I did enter into a real relationship with Him. I see now that God lifts me up and supports me spiritually. I am thankful that God allows Himself to be known and saves people from their sin. The first time I shared my faith with non-believing students, I was nervous, but God gave me the words. Now I love to meet with students and share about God and His love and salvation.

“MAY SHE FIND FREEDOM IN JESUS!”
